welcome to the portfolio
I'm an award-winning photojournalist, filmmaker, and creative producer based in Raleigh, NC. My work sits at the intersection of documentary storytelling, digital strategy, and visual journalism, with a focus on creating compelling, human-centered narratives across film, news, and social platforms. I currently work with Rice Pictures, where I manage creative development, production, and digital strategy across multiple projects. In this role, I've produced and directed the award-winning short film Volador, which has screened nationally and internationally, earning recognition at festivals in the U.S. and Spain. I've also developed pitch decks and storyboards for grant funding, coordinated media interviews with outlets including NPR, and created editorial and graphic content to support both company and talent branding.
Previously, I worked at WILX News 10 as a Creative Services Producer/Photographer, where I led short-form content initiatives that generated over 1.1 million views on TikTok alone. I produced multi-platform promotional campaigns, collaborated closely with clients and internal teams, and helped train staff on social media, SEO, and digital best practices. Earlier in my time at WILX, I worked as a Photographer/Editor, shooting and editing daily news packages under tight deadlines, contributing to content featured on NBC Nightly News, CNN, and Local News Live, and covering high-profile events including the NFL Draft, UAW strikes, Election Night 2024, and the 2023 MSU mass shooting. I hold a Bachelor's degree in Journalism from Michigan State University and an Associate's degree in Journalism from Grand Rapids Community College. Across all of my work, I bring a collaborative mindset, strong editorial instincts, and a deep commitment to storytelling that resonates with audiences and serves real-world impact.
